No. I'm not a peasant and I pay the £150 odd or whatever it is per year.

Paid my £159 yesterday funnily enough. Do I begrudge it? Yes, they should have adverts and save particularly the less wealthy some money, and I don’t like the BBC and their left wing agenda

Yes. Someone i used to work with.
Even though it was an error by someone else and not their fault, they still had to go to court one or two times to get it resolved. Took ages. So I think they might take forever to get round to a time when they do dish out punishment, it does eventually happen.

I’ve not bought one for years. I find it bizarre that people slag off the bbc yet still pay their license. Why would I pay money to be patronised by a load of lefty tossers? I find the concept quite mental

Bloke I used to work with did, didn’t pay the fine and got a month in clink.
Contempt of court apparently.
I have only bought one tv licence in my life, the day after I moved into my new flat I got a threatening letter about not having one.
It’s in the bin now.

I dont agree with the BBC tax, but on the flip side it does mean you only have to endure those cunting "we buy any car" ads on commercial channels...especially the one with the jock

“It’s truly amazing what we’re pulling off, by the way. That most households are pretty happy paying a licence being a forced payment. It’s amazing what we’re pulling off.”
Tell you what, Davie — remove the legal requirement to have a licence and see how truly amazing households really are?

I love BBC radio and pay monthly , don't care for TV really on any channel 98% all 5hite , so go adverts on there but please not on Radio its an awful thing . But lower the licence fee by adverts on Tele channels.

When I worked at the Post office in the mid eighties we used to get paid overtime for driving around in the tv detective van for two weeks of the year. It had a weird revolving coat hanger type thing on the roof which done fuck all and a couple of tables in the back which we used to play cards and eat our sandwiches on. The instruction was to wear smart civvies drive around slowly and park up for a while around housing estates big blocks of flats etc and of course not to tell anyone it wasn't real.

I pay it as I listen to a bit of their radio output and watch MOTD2 every week ( stopped watching motd as cant abide GL) and the Mrs watches some stuff on iplayer so not goingto be a hypocrite by not paying.
Lisence should be scrapped tho, put their 'world class' service to the test.

A BBC van pulled up just as a woman was leaving for work the BBC confronted her regarding a valid license and she said that her husband was in and that the license was behind the clock. The BBC knocked at the door and asked to see the license and he replied sorry I don't know where it is... the fella replied that it was behind the clock !!!
Feck me mate that's some van you've got there.

Some years ago I had one of their detector vans pull up outside my house. Bloke got out and waved this detector thing around and put a letter through the door. Never heard anything after that.

Never. Haven't bought one for about 15 years. They send out pointless letters warning you they are in the area and nothing is ever done. A complete rip off and waste of time.

A licence to transmit I can fully understand otherwise every cunt and his cousin would be on the air, but needing a licence to receive what's being put out there?
Biggest pants-pulling down con since religion took hold.
